Ferry on May 1, Labor Day

We will be staying in Desenzano Del Garda for a week and will be there on May 1, which I understand is Labor Day, a national holiday. Does anyone know if the ferrys will be running their regular schedule or their Saturday and holidays schedule on May 1? Do most of the restaurants, etc. in this area close down on Labor Day as well?

here you could find the timetable http://www.navlaghi.it/eng/index.asp

I don't think that the restaurant will be close on the 1st of may, it's easier that they will be overbooked because it's a tipical marriage day or First Eucaristic day

Hi, you'll be fine with the boats. This is the timetable covering the period from April 1st to May 31st:

The boats are daily unless there is an "A" or "B" at the top of the column. The boats with an "A" at the top will be running daily from 19th April to 4th May which covers the time you are there, and those with a "B" are only Saturdays and holidays.

Shops, restaurants etc. around the lake will be open.
