Train back to Paris, then train or taxi to CDG airport?

After our stay in Sarlat, we will drop our rental car off in Brive la Gaillarde, then take the direct train to Paris. Our international flight departs the next day at 10 AM from CDG airport.

After we arrive in Paris does it make more sense to overnight in Paris and take an early AM taxi to the airport.....or... once we've arrived in Paris (at the Austerlitz train station) take a taxi to the Gare du Nord train station, and then take a train to the airport..and then a taxi to an airport hotel? There are many trains going to the CDG airport from Gare du Nord train stn. Trains out of Austerlitz only go to Orly.

I always opt to spend the night in Paris and get an early-morning taxi.

If your flight is transatlantic, you will want to be at the airport by 07h00. Whether you stay at the airport or in Paris is a matter of personal chocie but if you want to take the early RER B to CDG, you can stay anywhere along the route: St Michel, Luxembourg, Port Royal or even Denfert Rochereau rather than only at Gare du Nord.

Cost is 9.50€, trains start about 06h00 and I would allow 50 minutes to 1 hour en route. Make sure you board the RER B3 to Aéroport Charles de Gaulle and not the RER B5 to Mitry Claye. Both trains depart going the same direction from the same platform.
