MSM in February

We are planning a trip for a couple of days to MSM for late February 2014. Besides the obvious (chilly weather, early sunset), is there anything in particular that we should be thinking about/concerned about in heading there so deep in the off-season?

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks.

Are you traveling by car or public transport? Either way, a visit to the Mont only takes a few hours so I wouldn't plan on spending two days there, unless you are just using it as a base to explore the area. No concerns about a February visit. Look at the official website for more info:

We were planning to travel by car from Paris, and would like to spend at least one night on the Mont itself.

I love spending the night on the Mont so I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Nearby places you can also visit would be Saint-Malo, Fougères, Rennes, Dinan, Dinard, Cancale (to eat oysters) and scenic coastline. I made a photo report about exploring that area if you want to have a look: http://tinyurl.com/86s4v8f

The only real thing to worry about is the weather. If we get snow around here it's usually in February, so keep an eye on the forecasts!
