Planning a driving holiday in mainland Europe

I believe this web site is updated daily

http://www.fuel-prices-europe.info/

I have posted this is the Calais forum since that is one of ther major start points for UK travellers to Europe. If anybody wishes to move it elsewhere, please do so

I don't know. The price quoted for France is far more than I ever pay. Buy your fuel at hyper/supermarkets like most locals & you'll pay considerably less. For example Diesel was €1.29 at my local supermarket yesterday - far less than the €1.47 quoted on that site.

I haven't used that site for ages, as tradeform said its never been very accurate & seems to be based on the most expensive price ie autoroute prices. Like here, its always far cheaper to use the hypermarkets & supermarkets.

It is pretty good as a comparison if you're travelling through different countries though, so thanks for posting it.

Here is the official site:

http://www.prix-carburants.gouv.fr/

Seems to be accurate.

1.285 € was exactly what I noticed at carrefour Montelimar yesterday.

http://www.prix-carburants.gouv.fr/ is for France & is the 1 we use as its pretty accurate.

http://www.fuel-prices-europe.info/ is for most of Europe but as said its not very accurate.

http://www.fuel-prices-europe.info/ is not too far out for Diesel in Ireland, My local is 1c cheaper than on the website and another nearby is 2c dearer. There are few supermarkets selling fuel here and those that do tend to match the local competition often having different prices for the same chain from town to town.
