Who is Carlo Crisci?

I have come across some information about my one of my favourite Swiss restaurants in Les Paccots (above Vevey/Montreux). It mentions Carlo Crisci. I have two questions:

1. Is he a famous chef?

2. Is Carlo Crisci a fan of the fondue in my favourite restaurant, or are they making fondue in the celebrated way he does? (my translation skills can leave me faintly befuddled):

illustre.ch/resto_de_pistes_les_rosalys_2742…

Either way, it's true Les Rosalys does a nice fondue.

Thanks. That's interesting. What I don't quite get is what he has to do with my favourite resturant or its fondue.

The posting is saying that for the last 20 years, Antonio Amaral in his restaurant at the bottom of the Pralet piste has been making the "fondue au vacherin" that has been made famous by Carlo Crisci.

Sounds like Crisci may have used and acknowledged the fondue from the restaurant at Les Rosalys as inspiration for a signature dish or something like that.

Makes me want to go there for a meal (Les Rosalys, not the Crisci place...)
