Where to stay in France en route to Disneyland

Hi,

We have booked 5 nights at the Hotel New York in Disneyland this June for 2 adults and 2 children aged 3 and 6. Learning from our last visit we want to arrive relatively early on our first day (Sunday 15th June) so we don't essentially loose a day in the parks.

We live in the North East of England and will be driving so the plan is to set off early on Saturday morning, cross the channel on the EuroTunnel on Saturday afternoon / evening then spend the Saturday night just the other side of the tunnel. On Sunday morning we will complete our journey to Disneyland hopefully arriving around lunchtime.

We are after some recommendations for somewhere to stay in Calais close to the tunnel. I've heard good things about the Ibis? Considering we have two young children could anyone share their thoughts / experiences? I'd also appreciate any tips for our long journey!

Thanks

Stephen

We have booked a holiday inn in Arras, its one hour from Calais and 2 hours to DLP. Looks like a nice place.

How did you get on with the HI in Arras?

We've booked there for December on the way down.

B&B hotel in Calais was good for us. We had 2 kids 6 and 3. They put families on the top floor and you have this cool little mezzanine in the roof for the kids beds! Reception was shut when we arrived at 11pm so checked in on a terminal by the entrance.

Breakfast was not worth having though. 3 hours to Disney from Calais
