travelling from CDG to DLP - bus or train?

Hi

We're flying to CDG on Sunday 23rd March, our flight gets in at 11.15 am and then we travel back on Wednesday 26th March flight from CDG is 8.30pm, so probably need to leave DLP around 5pm. Should we take the bus or the train? Any past experiences would be gratefully received.

Many thanks,

Ireland

You also have the option of a private transfer, which is around €70 one way fromCDG to DLP.

It takes around 40mins

The Vea bus and the TGV train work out at around similar prices. The TGV is very quick, 12 mins, but doesn't take you to your hotel. the Vea bus brings you to the door if your hotel and will take an hour or so

Love the tgv, that would be our personal first choice otherwise a private transfer. Hate buses so never an optionfor us!

Bear in mind there can be a very long wait, upto 2hrs between TGVs, that coupled with never quite knowing when your plane will arrive, makes private shuttle our preferred option.

The TGV is our preference as we have a 4 year old who loves trains. We looked at booking last night but were very nervous as the tickets were not flexible and yes what happens if your flight is delayed?!

We were thinking to just leave it and buy tickets for the train when we arrive.

Does anyone know if the fare is a lot more if you just buy the ticket at the airport?

Thanks

We got the TGV the last time, and we had not booked tickets beforehand. When we got there, the next train was full up so we had to wait over an hour for another.

This time, we're getting a private transfer when we arrive (EZY shuttle). We will get the TGV for the return journey from DLP to CDG so that our two bots can have their trip on the fast train :)

I would personally always opt for a private transfer.

There's nothing easier then collecting to your luggage to then have somebody waiting for you. The cars are never far & they take you straight to your hotel. They will provide car seats too.

CDG airport is very big, the idea of trying to get to a different terminal with children & luggage in tow really doesn't appeal.
