Can I take my Dd 7 into restaurants if she's not eating ?

Hi , my wonderful dd7 has 2 chronic conditions , one of which being Crohn's disease . She is currently not eating at all and is drinking a liquid food supplement .

I am trying to plan our October trip as a huge surprise , she has to spend a great deal of time in hospital having various treatments etc but remembering her trip to disney in Feb really helps give her positive memories and brings a smile to her face on bad days .

She really loved Inventions and although she may not be able to eat I would love to take her for the experience of going into such a magical hotel and for the character interaction.

Does anyone know if this could be arranged and how ?

Also Does anyone know who I could contact to ask if any pixie dust could be sprinkled on my beautiful brave girl

Thanks

Hi Figment

Your daughter sounds so similar to mine. She's also had a horrible time of it and DLP has been her saving grace, she'd look forward to trips so much during all the unpleasantness.

I think you may have an issue with the buffets unless you speak to someone particularly helpful!

We visited Plaza Gardens on one trip when DD wasn't eating much. They were very very unhappy at the prospect of allowing her in and not eating, so we paid for her and she picked at bits.

I guess from their side they cant keep an eye on her to make sure we're not pulling a fast one.

Did read TR recently when someone mentioned same problem with Hunters Grill.

Maybe if you manage to get hold of right person and explain they will make exception. I really hope so xx

Thanks Jools , I am sorry to hear your dd has been having a horrible time also , I know disney is magical for every child but I genuinely believe it's helped my dd cope with all the challenges she faces daily ,

She recently managed to lie for 60 mins completely still for a MRI scan , the nurses were amazed , she listened to magic on parade on repeat and did a virtual tour of Dlp in her head !

I was so proud and so glad she has a happy place in her mind .

We are staying in SL so was hoping to go to a Hunters Grill but as you say it may be a challenge , will try to find a friendly sympathetic staff member.

I looked at dds disability pass from our last trip but it doesn't have a dietary section on it ,

Hope your daughter gets back to her magic place soon x

My word Figment what a brave little princess you have there. I bet you are so proud of her. My DH has ulcerative colitis so I understand some of your daily battles. You have my every sympathy.

I'm sure if you showed the CM on the door her disability pass, and maybe a bottle of her liquid feed, if that's possible, they would understand. Maybe write it out or learn the phrase in French before you go.

If she's up to eating then Auberge would be a wonderful treat. Could you do that for dd one night then let DS pick a restaurant for the next day? That's what we do. Aurora, bless her, tried to speak to him but she backed off when she saw the look on his face. Gave us all a good laugh!

Really hope things settle down for her very soon.

Xxx
