Kenmare tours in October

We will be in Kenmare in October for a family wedding and we will not be renting our own car. Are there tours available at this time of year? We will be staying at the Brooklane for 5 nights and we have read about the "path" leading into town. Are there cabs in town in case we don't want to walk back in the dark?

Also, any suggestions about things to see and do in this area would be appreciated!

Kenmare was pretty quiet this May so in Oct I expect things will be wrapping up for the season. Kenmare does not have a taxi rank or taxis crusing the town looking to pick up people. You will need to get some phone numbers for the taxi companies and call one to take you back to the hotel. Unless it is teaming with rain the walk back to the Brooklane is not bad. There are sidewalks along the way not like you are walking through the old bog path in your wellies.

Kenmare does not really have the organized tour companies that base in Killarney. It is a much smaller town. Tours are basically pre-booked from several limo and/or hackney companies. Here are a few:
