down-home pub

A friend of mine went to the Dingle Peninsula and all he could talk about was a pub out of Dingle

that had a dirt floor, a dog, and great music. I

will be there in September. I wish I knew more. But

the Guinness clouded his brain. Does this fit

any of the pubs west of Dingle? Thanks. Frank

There are lots of pubs west of Dingle that have regular music sessions (not sure abiut the dirt floor)

In Ballyferriter

Sayers' and O Cathain's are two old style pubs in the village, and a little outside the village is Bric's - great athmosphere and great music

Also

An Bothar pub on the Slea Head route is a noted music venue..

If you are travelling in September it's best to check with those venues west of Dingle. High season is July and August, and in September they may just have music at weekends.

There are dozens of pubs in Dingle towm - O'Flaherty's and Droichead Beag are just two of the noted music venues
