Well, I wouldnt do it, the RoK can not be described as on the way from Dingle to Tralee, where are you going after Tralee? If I was in Dingle on the 23rd I would spen the 24th exploring the Dingle peninsula which I prefer to the RoK anyway, go round Slea Head, possibly a trip to the Blaskets, Inch Beach, Glenteenassing Forest Park, loadsof stuff to fill a week, if the RoK is a must then do not stay in Dingle.

Then no plans on the 25th so we are open to any suggestions you may have we just need to be back in Roscrea Co Tipp 26th afternoon

You could head up Lough Derg seeing East Clare/Galway, cross into Offaly and overnight in Birr before heading down east of the Lough to Roscrea. Lesser known on the tourist map but many hidden gems.

Or head up to Doolin or Galway and drop back down from there.

Sounds great. Would the Cliffs of Moher be in East Clare. What would you advise us to go see in Galway?

No the cliffs are West Clare as is the Burren and Galway you could overnight to take advantage of whatever is going on.

The Burren and Cliffs of Moher "Geo park" covers twice the area of the Dingle peninsula burrenecotourism.com/burren-ecotourism/… but tourist guides focus on the Cliffs and the Moonscape area.

Here in East Clare/Galway we have Lough Derg on the Shannon the Slieves (semi mountains) "Quaint" for want of a better word villages, Portumna Castle/Forest/Workhouse. and over to Birr for the Castle Demesne.

You can take the Shannon ferry over but unless you aim to see Loop Head and south west Clare taking the Shannon tunnel is the quicker cheaper option. If you want to see Loop Head and that area you might want to stay short of Galway and overnight between Miltown Malbay and Ennisymon/Lahinch.

Lots of options but constrained by time.
