Clonakilty Park

We are thinking of booking this next August and would love some feedback as to the quality and location of the property .

We are a family of 4 with 2 dogs. This seems to be the only accommodation in Ireland that is near some surf , has access to a pool and allows dogs.

Any comments welcome please

I know Clonakilty well, but I don't know Clonakilty Park homes at all. They look very nice on the website - however be aware, as you know, websites and photos thereon can be VERY deceiving. I am guessing the homes are part of the Quality Hotel complex.

As for being near the surf, well the famous (and very impressive) Inchadoney beach is about 3 - 4 miles from Clonakilty. (10 mins in the car approx).

Clonakilty itself is the perfect location for exploring beautiful west Cork. If you get good feedback on the houses - grab them.

Another option. You might prefer to be right out at Inchadoney and if you do, then have a look at www.daft.ie or www.myhome.ie Both sites have rental properties countrywide and you may find some at Inchadoney.

Its part of the Quality hotel which has a pool, cinema, games room etc. Very good for kids. Its a very good choice for families. 10 minute walk from town centre.

You can get surf lessons in Inchadoney.

Check out the red strand, owenahincha and warren beaches too. Lovely coast line around there, Long strand is also good for surfing but its not safe for swimming or novice surfers,
