Clifden in Early March

The wife and I were thinking about stopping in Clifden for a day on March 2nd. I know we will be off-season but is it still worth the stop??

Clifden is a nice small town. It has a little shoppping, a number of restaurants and pubs. The Sky Drive road is beautiful. I loved it enough to stay a couple of nights as a touring base. The working harbor at Cleggan is just that, interesting but not beautiful.

It's a pretty small place, not sure what you mean by "worth the stop". In early March things will be pretty quiet there, with some restaurants closed until Easter.
