Mainly bumping this for you!

the Marble arch caves and Cuilcagh Geopark might be worth considering

Enniskillen is about 30 minutes away and has quite a lot to offer tourists with the Castle, National Trust properties, lovely islands in the lough (e.g. Devenish) and some nice craft shops in the craft centre.

It's too long since I've been in the area so can't comment on a pub in the Belturbet area unfortunately but there is a Cavan DE so hopefully he will see this.

It's been too long

Unfortunately things tend to wind down at the end of September but the Cuilcagh mountain park (part of the geopark) might be nice for walking in and the likes of Florence Court and castle Coole properties will still be open.

Was passing through Belturbet today, as above you might find some activity in around Enniskillen also a great place for shopping (Asda M&S etc). The castle is well worth a visit as is the boat trips to Devenish Island if they are still operting. You can find out whats on at: www.fermanagh.gov.uk

Best restaurants about Belturbet are; The Old Post Inn at Cloverhill about five miles from Belturbet or the Polo-D restaurant in main street Ballyconnell, both are excellent.

Hello there, glad that you are coming to our little town in Ireland. I am from Boise, Idaho and have lived here for 12 years, married an Irish Man and we live in Belturbet. There is plenty to do here, when you are coming over, you are going to miss all of the festivities that go on in Belturbet by a few months, but there is still things to do there. The River lodges are good to stay at, if that doesnt work out, let us know as we have a friend that has 2 houses for rent right in the town of Belturbet on the river and 2 min walk from town, food and pubs and all the sights. Give us a holler when you get here if you need any more help, always willing to help out.
