Road Closures in Redwood National Forest

Message in the Redwood National Forest website says Toll trees access Road and Skunk Cabbage Trail Road are closed because of sequestration. Is it still worthwhile visiting the park? Thanks.

Were you planning on going to the Tall Trees Grove? If so, the hike will be longer. But, there are many other trails and the best ones are in the three state parks. The national park and the state parks jointly protect and preserve the world's tallest trees.

Of course it is!

Combined -

Redwood National Park

Smith River National Recreation Area

Jed Smith State Park

Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park

Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park

Humboldt Lagoon State Park

Patricks Point State Park

all cover a *huge* area!

I'm not a hiker, but you can google RNP hikes for lots of info.
