wedding in forest Sept 2014???

Hi, we are wanting to get married at a "non-staple" place, so Redwood forest came to mind. Has anyone ever gotten married in there before? Can you just pick a spot in the forest and do it? Are there specific spots, structures, sites that it has to happen on? Can we get a rental company to bring in tables/chairs etc? We are wanting a sunset kind of ceremony, so would need electricity for twinkle lights, or maybe just do candles in hurricane glasses (if candles are allowed).

I drove thru as a kid, but is there anything else logistically that would be helpful in trying to plan this?

Thanks so much!

Which Redwood forest are you thinking of? State parks or National parks? Each probably requires approval be respective agencies. How many people in your wedding party? If it's a very small ceremony with no elaborate setups you probably can just do it.

I know you are asking about RNP and far northern California, but here is another option in a redwood grove in Berkeley in the Bay Area. I was married here and they are set up for weddings.

You can check on the Redwoods National Park website or call them for specific details. It looks like you need a permit and there are restrictions for any commercial use:
