Hopper Ticket or Not?

Looking to buy 1 day ticket, but unsure whether to get the hopper or not. Just realised were short a ticket for next Thurs and need to get quick. Were in the parks for 2 days, Thrus & Fri. Never been before. Should we get the hopper or not? It's Dad and two grown up teens. Our other tickets are all hoppers, but I dunno whether's its needed or not.

Whether we should focus Thrus on just Disneyland, then Fri hop???

Current prices on FNAC website, in Euros. Up to 7th November 2012.

1 day 1 park. € 35 weekday, € 41 weekends and some school holiday dates.

1 day 2 park hopper. € 45 weekday. € 53 weekend and some school holiday dates.

If you have two days in the parks, I would have one full day in the Disneyland Park making sure you see Magic On Parade at 5pm, then use a hopper ticket for the other day so you can stay in the Studios as long as you like and then go over to the main park afterwards for rides or see Dreams again. The Studios closes earlier than the main park.

Make sure you are at the Studios gates early, so you can go straight to Crush's Coaster when the gates open at 09.30. This ride usually has the longest queue all day. Stars n Cars Parade is quite short, and starts at 1.45pm.

The Studios is smaller, but has some good attractions for adults and older kids / teens.

I usually get to the Studios between 09.00 and 09.15, and they do usually open the gates and let visitors enter the park at 09.30.

The majority of people will run ( or walk very quickly ) straight to Crush's Coaster. The queue for Crush may look enormous to begin with, and can stretch back to Studio 1 building, but remember that the ride is not open yet. When they open the ride ( which may be before 10am ) people are then allowed into the proper queue line, which continues inside the ride building.

If the park is not very busy you may be able to have two rides on Crush before the queue time shoots up, but at average or busy times the queue time will be at least 40 mins, and could be double that. It all depends on crowd levels.

Then get a Fastpass ticket for Tower of Terror before going to RC Racer, as that doesn't have FP either. When they have used the FP for TOT they can then get one for Rock n Rollercoaster. Check the park programme for times of the shows, and the parade, so you don't miss them.

Although the Fastpass tickets give you a 30 min timeslot to ride, the Cast Members are not usually very strict about this - they won't let you ride earlier, but don't seem to mind if you arrive late, if it clashes with something else. The small print on the ticket tells you what time you can get another one for the same ride or a different one - so sometimes you can get another FP before you have used your first one.

Although French schools go back today, September is still a popular time, so hard to say how busy the parks will be.
