transfers and restaurant

Hi all

Could anyone recommend a reliable private transfer service from Luqa Int Airport to the Hilton (return) and how much this is likely to cost please?

Also, I am looking for a romantic restaurant overlooking either Spinola or Balluta Bays preferably where there is seating outdoors for the evening of my partner's 30th birthday - cost is not a problem (for one night only!!) So far I have come up with Barracuda and Quadro at the Westin. Are these good choices or have I missed somewhere worth looking at?

Thank you everyone!

The easiest way to get go the Hilton is to go to the taxi booth at the airport and buy a voucher for €20 and hand it to a driver outside (always plenty of taxis) who will take you directly to the Hilton. You could also book a private taxi with Maltatransfer.com who I have used and is about the same price (they also do shared transfers which are cheaper but the wait time and transfer time will be longer).

Both restaurants you have selected are excellent although my preference is Quadro which is an easy walk from your hotel. At Spinola Bay you could also look at Gululu or Sangiuliano both of which are good but (in my opinion) not quite as nice. My favorite restaurant is Zest at the Hotel Juliani however they only have a couple of tables on the balcony overlooking Spinola Bay and there is a busy road In between, plenty of nice tables inside though.

Thank you so much for this info - much appreciated! Could you tell me how long will it take to walk from the Hilton to Westin if we were to go to Quadro and is it a difficult walk or fairly flat?

It's a 5 minute walk down a slight incline. When you get to the entrance to the Westin you walk through the gate in the direction of the Casino (on the end of the peninsula) with the hotel on your left and Quadro is on the right hand side of the road about half way to the Casino.

kt0x0 The advice and email address you received from mariella s is an advertisement for the company she works for I would like to know if anyone else has used this service plus the fact that they are sending personal messages to people touting for business.

I have never heard of this company and I would get more reviews about them before I do so no other company in Malta has done this since I have been going there so be careful.
