Lindos accommodation for elderly people?

Evening all,

I am currently looking into places for our wedding guests to stay next year when we are all over, but there are a couple of guests who would prefer to avoid the hills (if possible) but still be within the village etc.

We're thinking about booking the Krana apartments for quite a few people, any opinions on them?

When we were over earlier this year, we stayed at the Atrium Palace which was great, but a bit far out.

Tbh any accommodation recommendations would be much appreciated! The age group ranges from 17-80..

Thanks in advance.. It's scary planning a wedding!

Im afraid there is no where in Lindos where you can avoid hills, steps and steep inclines. On Krana you have the steep walk in and out of the village and even more steep walks down to the beaches. Though there is a free shuttle bus that runs from Krana to Square and then to main beach and back during the day, but it stops at around 3:00pm. After that you would have to use taxi's.

Stayoing in the village would probably be a better option, but it would depend where as a lot of properties are situated up steep inclines and steps, again steep walks to beaches and to pools on Krana. Or again taxis to beaches and back (esp St Pauls if thats where you are getting married.

We have just come back from a stay in the village. We spent one day up at Krana Appartments and I think it would suit your more elderly guests fine. It's quite a compact and new complex. The appartments looked clean, spacious and modern and the pool area was really nice with an elevated breezy view over the village. It's the nearest of the Krana hotels; they could even get the free bus up and down to the village if they want to explore, it's at the bottom of the steps.

I think the accommodation in the village will generally be more basic and perhaps a bit hit and miss...they will probably be able to relax better up at the top with all the hotel facilities on hand.

I think all your guests will have a lovely time; don't get stressed and have a great wedding!

Thanks for the quick replies :)

I never realised about the shuttle bus, so that's a bonus. We'll maybe just book them into Krana, I'm sure they'd manage :)

Where would you recommend the younger guests to stay? Guy group and a girl group, both ages ranging between 22-28. Looking for a bit of nightlife, but also a pool (none in Lindos village IIRC?)

Again, thanks!

If you're after a package holiday there is very little choice in the village these days and nothing what so ever with a pool. Lindos village can't be beaten for those of us used to staying in it but for larger groups any of the Krana accomodation would probably suit. The Taxi fare back is about e5-6 so between a couple much less than the price than a drink.

As Jazzer says there are a lot of steps leading up to the Krana appartments so again that may not be suitable for elderly. Lindos View would probably suit all, both elderly and younger people, it has two pools, a bar and restaurants/snack bar and some evening entertainment. There is also internet access and games room in the basement.
