Very easy, there are several exchange places in Lindos. They all tend to work on the same rate which is normally, slightly better than you get here. But add on the 2% commission (which they all charge) and there's very little in it.

Hi All

I always believed it was better to change in Greece but recent posts on TA seem to think it's a better rate if you order euros at the post office in the UK . I've never done it myself , apart from using thomas cook once only to find I would have got a much better rate [ £80 more in my pocket] in Greece .

It would be interesting to see what others have experienced .

Thos Cook and Thompsons are doing 1.20 euro to the pound if you buy £500 worth.

For those of us with a mid 80s slant, may I suggest that 'The only way is up'..

Certainly seems to be the case recently, but of course no guarantees!!

Our local money shop was offering 1.203 yesterday, but I decided to hold out a bit longer (2 weeks to go)

OK, it was 1988.

Anyway, age is about your outlook, not just a number (well, that's what I keep telling myself anyway...)
