rhodes is very easy driving, rhodes town is very busy but you can park the car before you get into town and just walk in
Hi, where would be the best/easiest place to park?
If you are really lucky, there is free parking at Mandraki by the Windmills
There is a lot of metered parking, although at times patience is required to find a space
Thanks, could you explain where Mandraki is please, never been to Rhodes before...just gathering info for our 1st trip. :)
You can pick up a map of Rhodes at most mini markets or tourist shops, or if you're lucky you might be able to pick one up free at the airport.
Mandraki is the harbour/port in Rhodes Town. As said, driving in Rhodes is a lot better than other Greek islands, and a car gives you the chance to see so much of this lovely island that is not accessible by bus or excursion.
Have a lovely holiday!Edited: 29 August 2012, 07:41
There are Rhodes Maps you can download off the internet for free.
Maps of the whole island, Rhodes Town & Rhodes Old Town are all there. Just type Rhodes maps into Google & select the ones you like
Thanks Babs & Trevor, am in the 'gathering information' stage, don't want to miss going anywhere vital! :)
