Def get a taxi into the village a few times, there are plenty of them and are very reasonable! Too many restaurants to mention but, we particularly liked Maria's and Kalypso!
Thanks Lynjane, I sure will do that! I've read that on Sunday there will be a medieval night at Lindos - sounds great! Sure will have a great time there, very looking forward to it! Just one question about the taxis: of course no problem to get into town (6 - 8 Euros I've heard), but could it be a problem to go back resp. at which time of the day/night could it be difficult? As I am travelling alone I want to make sure not to be stuck somewhere ...
You will have no problem getting back to Blu at anytime, taxis are plentiful and the taxi rank is in the main square ( where you will get dropped off ) and it is usually 5 -6 euro's on the return journey. We will be joining you at Blu from Saturday for 2 glorious weeks!
Thanks Jo for this information! So we will meet at the Blu - not knowing who is who. Although I think there are not that much single women at this hotel. ;-) Have a fabulous time!
A friend of mine used to work at Lindos Blu and it's a stunning hotel, I'm sure you'll love it. As Lyn says definitely head into Lindos and if you're there for the Medieval night even better, with the lights out and lantern lit streets, it's very atmospheric.
It would also be a shame to miss Rhodes Town, the Old Town is beautiful and historic but has a totally different feel and look to Lindos. Climbing the Clock Tower is good to take in views of the whole town.
Thanks Marcus. I was totally into my trip to the Maldives in March 2014, but now I am really getting excited to go to Lindos and very happy about the postings of all of you! I think staying at the Blu ist exactly what I need ( as being totally stressed out), but the 23rd is on my list for sure, as well as St. Pauls Bay and Rhodes Town. Just not too much action ;-)
