Swimable beach at ERC?

I just looked through all the pictures dating back to December. Only saw 1 that had 2 people actually swimming in the water in from on the ERC. There were plenty of pics with people walking our laying out on the beach. Is the beach there not a swimable one?

My husband and I stayed at Silversands this April and the beach was not swimable. A big disappointment. We walked up to ERC and specifically checked out the beach and water there for that reason and found it to be swimable. However, if you are married to the idea of a beautiful beach go to Secrets Maroma Beach. If you are open to a basic kind of resort try the Catalonia Maroma (it's right next to SMB and they share the same beach) and the Catalonia Royal Tulum.

The beach at ERC is swimable. During our recent stay, swimming was red flagged due to weather conditions on many of the days. When it was not red flagged, there where many people in the water. The same went for Dreams, which is down the beach from ERC.

We were there for two weeks in May and swam every day, it was beautiful. No problems with sea lice, sea grass or red flags. Perhaps it depends on the time of year you are there.

It is swimmable, but... you have to wade through sea grass that floats at the surf line and all the debris that gets stuck in the sea grass to get out beyond the ick. You need beach shoes due to submerged rocks. There is also the seagrass that grows on the bottom of the ocean floor. The beach is wide and the sand is nice.

It certainly is swimable but like many resorts that have great pools most people just seem to either walk the beach or sunbathe on it

Yes there can be seagrass
