What's your countdown to Puerto Morelos & Cantina Habanero?

I can't WAIT to get back to PM! I miss me some fun at CH! Unfortunately it will be July of 2011 before we return... unless this lotto ticket pays off, and then I'll be there looking for some nice real estate!

Hello Eduardo, Natalie, Frank, and the whole gang, we miss you. Here in the North it is rapidly turning to fall and Labor Day signals the end of summer for us, so we sat around the pool yesterday and hoisted the XX Amber in salute to all of our southern friends. We hope to continue to hear from you often and, the good Lord willing, we will see you all again on April 25, 2011. And for all of you just picking up this thread, or making those plans to vacation in beautiful southern Mexico, stop in at the Cantina Habanero; great food, coldest beer in town, delightful margaritas but most of all, a wonderful, friendly, exciting atmosphere full of new friends, stimulating conversations, entertaining music and, if you plan it right and the stars align for you, the fog machine!

We've been to Puerto Morelos many times, and we stay in the small Hotels in and around the square. I have in the past been into Cantina Habanero and although the beer is cold,,,I like many I have spoken to cannot understand the attraction.........In my opinion there are other bars and restaurants nearby that are quieter..have much better food and yes beer that is as cold or in my professional opinion ,COLDER.

gascop- try CH again...I certainly found the beer to be just this side of frozen, complete with slushy particles in it. Try to go on a night whne the place is rockin' with live music and talk to the regulars who hang out there. Place reminds me of a Caribbean "Cheers"

Our countdown is 155 days. Seems unbearable to wait that long. We have been to PM a number of times and just love it!

We just returned from our first trip to Puerto Morelos. We've been to

Mexico on many vacations but as far as I'm concerned the first time we

actually saw Mexico was last week. If you've never been to Puerto Morelos

then you need to go. I've been there and I need to go back! A great little

place called Cantina Habanero served as our social gathering spot. Ed, the

owner, made us feel welcome and helped us explore the town with helpful tips

and good advice. If we needed something Ed knew how and where to get it and

would help you find it.

After a long day's exploring we would always end up at Ed's to cool off with

his super cold beer. One of his many signs brags that he has the coldest

beer in town and it's true! The beer is cold and the food is tremendous.

We never left the Habanero hungry or thirsty.

If you're ever in Puerto Morelos you must stop by Ed's for a visit. I can

assure you that you won't be disappointed. The best way to find Cantina

Habanero is to start in front of the police station on the corner of the

square and walk north toward Cancun. Keep your eyes left and listen for

people having fun and enjoying themselves and you can't miss it. It's the

last place we visited before we left PM and it'll be the first place I set

down when we go back! Thanks Ed for a really great experience.
