NOW Jade or NOW Sapphire in December

Hello fellow travelers

Planning our December vacation. We pretty much narrowed down our choice to either NOW Jade or Sapphire. Would like to hear your thoughs on which one you would prefer.

Thanks.

Jade, just cuz its a short walk to town. You can use everything at both properties when staying at either.....

They are owned , along with Dreams, Secrets and Zoetry Resorts, by AM Resorts. Check this great map out and click on the H in the right box for Hotels and get a good look where each is located, ect.

We are going to Now Sapphire at the end of December. We have 2 teens and the Sapphire has the teen club. We also prefer the more tropical vibe that it has.

Loved Sapphire so much last April that we are returning, hopefully, in February. Wonderful size and vibe. Preferred Club perks are great, staff is amazing and food and drink are very good. Top shelf without the snobbery.

AVS, IMO it comes down to style - do you prefer modern and minimilast, or traditional/colonial architecture?

2 more considerations, Jade is more secluded whereas Sapphire has other resorts on either side.

Also, if you book the lowest category room (garden/tropical view), you're better off at Sapphire as the tropical view rooms at Jade are pretty bad...views of a swamp.

I thought I had read that all rooms at the Jade had jacuzzis whereas the Sapphire did not - is that true? I'm helping a friend plan a destination wedding and there are a few of us (myself included) where the jacuzzi will be the deciding factor!

Banker,

You're correct, all rooms at Jade have Jacuzzis, not true at Sapphire.

Now Jade's PC rooms have a gorgeous Jacuzzi on the balcony. The entrance is from the bedroom. Since the railing is acrylic, we put towels over it and were able to enjoy the Jacuzzi in the evening. I would also recommend bringing a small citronella candle.

There are also Jacuzzi's in the bathrooms at Now Jade.

We went in June of 2010(did SSS last year) and we are hoping to return this year as well.

"You can use everything at both properties when staying at either....."

This is incorrect. There are no exchange privileges between the two resorts. All you can do is have dinner at one when staying at the other, using their Sip, Savor and See program (reservations required, transportation at your cost). You can not use the facilities of the other Now resort during the day, you would have to purchase a day pass.
