They are going to be closing Highway One at that point from dawn until dusk, with regulated one-way traffic during the day (so expect 20-30 minute delays).

There are several other places where Highway One is flooded and detours are necessary (in Oceano), but these should open up soon.

Would be a very slow day for traveling Highway One, that's for sure.

The current reports have Caltrans closing Highway 1 (Big Sur coast) 24 hours a day for at least 3 weeks (beginning Monday) while they repair the roadway.

Highway 1 is open 24 hours a day with one way traffic at the trouble spots. Construction workers are working on the road so there will be flagmen and workers out in the daylight hours.
