Central place to stay

In Spring 2014 a group of 10 of us in our 50s and 60s will have a 5 or 6 night stay in the Margaret River region during a holiday in the West and were wondering where would be a good place to stay with the view to doing a series of day trips from our accom on different days.Any ideas more than welcome as we plan our get away.

If you are looking for all 10 people to be in singles that could be a tough call other than the obvious hotel or motel accom. Otherwise options could be booking out a B&B for your whole group or perhaps consider multiple chalet type accom. although both of these options will no doubt involve double AND single rooms. Staying central is not a neccessity as the whole region is accessible as day trips so dont discount as far north as Busselton and Dunsborough or south to Augusta.

Have a browse thru the visitors centre websites for accom options:

Or perhaps contact them directly. Ive always found the staff there are extremely helpful.

A lot of the motel type places do good bulk discounts for groups.

I have stayed here a few times - just 2 streets off the main street in Marg River

Its the kind where you park outside your door. Has fridge and kettle and toaster etc. Nice little restaurant. Very green lush grounds. Cheap and cheerful.
