We're really excited to visit Australia in December for 10 days for the first time. We'll be spending 3 days in Sydney, 1 day in Jervis Bay, then we have 3 free days, and then we'll go to the GOR for the rest of the trip.
We fell in love with pictures of beautiful Whitehaven beach and the Whitsundays, but are now reading about how this is the wrong time of year to go because of stingers and the wet season/stormy weather. We aren't divers and wouldn't be diving, or doing any bushwalking or very rigorous physical activity. We've been considering other options instead such as the Yarra Valley, Hunter Valley, Dandenongs, Bay of Fires and other Australia islands instead but just don't know the best things to do. Would Jervis Bay give us enough beautiful white sand beach experience that we wouldn't miss Whitehaven overly much? or it is a must see? Minimizing time at the airport would also be good so we could see more Australia.
Does anyone have any suggestions about the best way to fill these 3 days?
Thanks so much for the help!
