Hello: We are touring Australia, including Kangaroo Island, Tasmania, Darwin, Kakadu, Cairns, and plan to drive from Adelaide to Melbourne along the Great Ocean Road. Given the recent flooding in the Grampians, is it still worth a visit (and given the other places we will be seeing)? We will be there in early April.
Our plan would be to drive straight from Adelaide airport to Halls Gap, stay two nights (so one full day to see the park); then to either Port Fairy or Port Campbell for one night, then to Apollo Bay for one night, then end up in Melbourne.
If we don't go to the Grampians, we could spend the extra time either along the GOR, or in Melbourne or Tasmania.
We are primarily interested in scenery, wildlife, and interesting walks.
