Antique shopping in Melbourne?

Hi my parents are coming to visit me in December and they love asian antique. I am thinking to take them to antique shops/ auctions / secondhand markets in Melbounre for a day or two. Anyone has good suggeston about where to go? I only arrived in Melbourne last year so I am not very familiar as well. We will be driving so distance is not a problem. Thanks alot in advance.

The Armadale and South Yarra areas are the best.

For Asian antiques also look in Victoria St Richmond up near Ikea , but I hope you can tell you real stuff from the repros because there's a lot of those around that they will try and sell you as the real deal.

http://leonardjoel.com.au/ in South Yarra has a weekly auction plus specialist auctions. It's not specifically Asian but there may be the odd piece here and there.

I agree with Victoria St, Richmond if Asian antiques is what they are after.
