Budget blue mountains from Sydney


I looking for advise me and my friend (both 21) are currently travelling and arrive in Sydney on Monday,

Interested in seeing the blue mountains, we would be looking to do a day trip from Sydney. any suggestions on an extremely small budget, so cheapest option would be best!

If you drive, rent a car from Bayswater Rentsls in William Street & drive.

Or take a train to Katoomba & do walks, take hop on /hop off bus or the tours from Kstoomba.

The day tours seem to be $100 pp +, the cheapest would be to go by public transport tripadvisor.com.au/ShowTopic-g255060-i122-k6…

The cheapest option is to buy a MyMulti day pass for $23.

That will get you as return ticket on the train and travel on the Blue Mountains public bus service. The bus service travels to all theajor attractions in the BM. You get a timetable and route map online. It won't allow travel on the Explorer bus or the trolley bus which are the tourist HOHO services.
