hey all. would appreciate some help with this.
I'm from Canada and spending 3 weeks in OZ for my honeymoon. im stopping in bora bora for 7 days first en route.
i've been to australia and love it. i did the east coast in 3 months so trying to cram it into 3 weeks is giving me a headache. looking only at east coast because of time constraints.
we're 30ish years old and adventurous. love good food and drinks. our budget is medium-to high. dont want to spend more then 200-300/night for hotel since bora bora is so expensive already.
here is what i'm thinking so far:
-fly into sydney. stay 4 nights.
-fly to airlie beach (this makes the most sense flight wise.)
-3night 8 person whitsunday catamaran tour leaving from airlie
-???? i was looking at hamilton island for a few nights but not sure if worth it. it looks pretty touristy and expensive. are there any other good spots in the area to go to? some other smaller island resorts around?
20th fly airlie to brisbane
- i have 9 days to see all the sights in the brisbane area. probably going to hire a car to do so. top priorities are fraser island 4x4ing for 2 nights and byron bay for 3 nights. that would leave 4 nights to see everything else there is to see in the area. sunshine coast area/noosa could fill that up. not sure if flying would be worth it since both spots are pretty close to brisbane.
29th fly home
what do you guys think?
i'd really appreciate any input here.
