Travelling with dogs - caravan parks.

We are considering travelling from Cairns to Melbourne next summer. We would be travelling with a caravan, two children 12 and 10 and 2 dogs - greyhound and staffy. Can anyone recommend any caravan parks along the coast of New South Wales that are worth a stay and would accept the dogs? They are good dogs. They don't bark and are well behaved.

Hi, here's a website that may help if you know where you want to stop ...

The "Big Four" also have some dog friendly parks.

Rahnee - how do you get your grey to sit/lie down in the car - ours just refuses - wants to stand with her nose out the window

North Coast Holiday Parks have many parks that allow dogs: http://www.northcoastholidayparks.com.au/ I quite like their parks as they are smaller and less commercial than the Big4 ones.

Also they are allowed in State forests,http://www.forestrycorporation.com.au/visiting/forests?camping=Yes

I reccommend swans Crossing in the Kerewong State Forest near Kew and Cobrabold in the Mount Boss state forest forestrycorporation.com.au/visiting/… Beautiful and usually only populated by locals, having said that I spotted a Hippy Camper heading into there yesterday so maybe the word is getting out!
