Not meaning to put you off but why do you want to stay Coffs Harbour for 16 days. It seems a long time to stay in this area. In saying that we stayed overnight at Nautilus a few years back when we were driving through. It was clean with it's own beach.

Dear Oscar thanks for replying, so very kind. Will look at Nautilous however do u think that 16 days Coffs Harbour is too long???? We are flying there.

Do u suggest hiring a car and driving North or South???

We have been told Coffs harbour gorgeous.

Thank you so much. Any other suggestions most welcome.

Hi Natalie,

Where are you coming from? It's a nice place but most people use it as an overnighter when travelling to and from Sydney. There are a few attractions such as the Big Banana but you could do this in a couple of days. I stayed in the area last Easter for the long weekend and we struggled to fill it. If you and your partner are keen fisherpersons then you'll love it.

Hi Natalie,

i stay in Coffs a fair bit and one place i think would suit you is Boambe bay resort near Sawtell, great for swimming, fishing, beautiful park with BBQ's and safe with kids, Coffs has many things to offer, i lived there for 10 years and theres plenty to do.

I agree with clint, Coffs has a lot to offer visitors, now that you have had a look at their website I am sure you will see this, hire a car for a few days at least so that you can get out and about the area, drive up to Dorrigo through Belligen for a day - beautiful, check out the beaches to the north - beautiful, it is a great place to relax and unwind.

We just arrived in Coffs Harbour about 2 hours ago and driving around we found a place called Allambie Apartments. It has a beautiful view out over the harbor and it's clean and well-run. We're in a $150 "suite." It's two bedrooms with a full kitchen, satellite TV, and free wifi. We have a huge patio overlooking the water. I'm impressed. We also looked at one of the $125 units and it was nice but without the dramatic view. The $100 unit did not have a kitchen and therefore didn't fit our needs for the night.

Hi Natakie,

have a look at www.coffsholidays.com - specialise in family and seniors accommodation - and special rates for over 55's. We have people staying with us for up to 3 months at a time. year after year, and they never cpmplain of not being able to fill in their time.

Hi, I live half hour south of Coffs and if you can't fill in 16 days I'll be very surprised. There are many beautiful places including Urunga (boardwalk), Bellingen markets (3rd Sat month), Dorrigo (bush walking), Scotts Head beach. There are many lovely place to eat. Try the V wall tavern at Nambucca (stunning views and great food). Seaview tavern at Urunga, beautiful restaurants in Bellingen. Go for a drive to Coramba and have a beer out there or Russell Crowe country at Nana Glen/ Glenreagh. Sawtell is lovely (old cinema worth a look). Anchors Wharf restaurant at Urunga is wonderful. I love the Pet Porpoise Pool, Jetty area is amazing (good food at Thai) also Fishing club. We are in our 50s and eat out a lot. Don't know much about accomm.Sorry. Have a great time.
