Hi Rosie

if you are talking about the Overseas Passenger Terminal (OPT) at Circular Quay and it's just the two of you, it will take you around 20 min by train from the Domestic Terminal and will cost $15.40 pp one way. It is a short walk to the OPT from Circular Quay Station which has escalators, stairs and lifts.

If you are talking about Wharf 5, Bangaroo, you could go by train to Wynyard (same price) and walk down Margaret / Napolean Street into Hickson Rd where you'll see the huge marquee ... that walk could take you about 10 mins.

Alternatively, a taxi would be the way to go if you want to avoid public transport, but as to cost, that depends on the time of day and the route the taxi takes (eg tolls on the Eastern Distributer) ... so it may cost upwards of $50 or more or it may be less ... hard to say.

Did the taxi ride from the airport (international) to Harrington St in The Rocks, very near the passenger terminal, within the last couple of weeks. Into town around 4 p.m. and back to the airport arond 1 p.m. It cost 46.50 once and 47.00 the other time. Well worth it for door-to-door with luggage.
