Rent apartment for one month

Hi,

we are traveling to Sydney in October, and we are looking for an apartment to rent for one month. We are interested in one bedroom apartment or studio, with internet and close to public transportation.

So far what I have found it´s to expensive (150 dollars/night and more).

Which location of Sydney should I look for?

Wouldn't be better and cheaper to sty in Melbourne or is it the same with renting apartments?

Thank you

150 a night is quite cheap for a serviced apartment or short term rental stay in either city.

Both cities are pricey for rentals. For AUD$150 it will be difficult to find but they are available if you are prepared to go out into the suburbs,

Without knowing what your interests are and what you plan to be doing each day it's impossible to answer your question. Most tourists stay in the CBD.

Thank you.

We travel to Australia as a tourists, so general activities as a sightseeing, restaurants, museums, ...are on our list. We don't look for bars, clubs...would rather prefer some more quiet location but close to Sydney center (By public transportation. Our budget is max 2500 AUD/month

I would recommend near the Central/Chinatown part of Sydney. U should b able to find a room with shared bathroom facilities 4 yr budget (83 a night). This is close to the free 555 tourist bus, shopping, sights n a whole bunch of cheap eateries.

Is there a reason why you are wanting an apartment? They are not cheap, and you are generally not going to find a share apartment - usually only for longer stays where you sign contracts to actually rent the place.

Your budget is quite small when it comes to Sydney for hotels, let alone, apartments. Your best option really is just focusing on hostels, unless you can come across an excellent deal, or unless you can increase your budget range.

Sydney is not cheap, unfortunately, especially not if you're here on a Saturday night, when accommodation prices can skyrocket.

You can look at private rental options available for short stays on sites like www.stayz.com.au Since you are dealing directly with owners, ask lots of questions before making your booking.

Hi

Just a word about stayz.com.au. Dont think u can find anything there for 83 AUD per night.

If u really want to share apartments u can try couchsurfing....gumtree.com.au can assist with this.
