Where to stay close to the Central Coast? Kilcare?

Hi Ladies & Gents,

I have a function to attend at Kilcare on the Central Coast.

Now where would my best option to stay be? Terrigal? Ettalong Beach? Umina Beach?

I don't really want to stay too far away as I will be using taxis etc to travel back and forth.

It looks like there is a ferry from Booker Bay? Is this convenient for late night functions?

I want somewhere close with a good range of accomodation options, which isnt in too much of an inconvenient location. Thought?

I'm not too concerned about budget provided it's of a good standard and location.

Many Thanks in advance :)

Hi,

We stayed here last year to attend a beach wedding, some people never think to have a plan b if the weather isn't any good and it wasn't. Comfortable and close to the beach.

Not sure about a taxi service in that area (would definitely need to ring for one). Booking.com.au has Bells at Killcare plus several places at Ettalong or Avoca/Kincumber

Bells at Kilcare looks very nice.

If you don't stay there Ettalong Mantra http://www.mantraettalongbeach.com.au is not too far from Kilcare and Ettalong has shops, cafes etc. Terrigal is a bit further away and not as convenient to travel to and from.

Thanks for that. I am looking at Woy Woy and Umina. Not sure where to stay though. Is Woy Woy the major population centre in that area?

Ummm... it depends on what you want it isn;t really a tourist/conference place

I would stay in Umina vs Woy woy (look up Spike) No major popn... its an old beach palce (think maybe Brunswick) that has grown to being a bit more residential than visitor

You really need a car to get around IMHO unless at Bell's.

Yeah I am beginning to think the same thing GW.

I take it taxis are not real plentiful?

Is Bell's worth the $400-$500 price tag?
