CBD breakfast at weekend

Hello

I'm staying at Amora hotel Jamison Street and their Breakfast is mediocre at best, especially for forty bucks.

Can anyone recommend a good breakfast/brunch in the cbd area on a Sunday. My options increase exponentially Monday morning but Sunday seems dead around here.

Cheers

Hi Rattlin

Depends how much you want to spend & how far you want to travel but Star City Garden Buffet has breakfast from 7-11am for $35 per adult :)

Haven't been to their breakfast but if its anything like their lunch buffets, it should be amazing! :)

No problem :)

If you eat a reasonable amount, you definitely won't need any lunch :)

When I go to lunch, I know I don't need any dinner :)

Depending on how early you want your breakfast, lots of cafes in The Rocks ( many have outdoor terraces at the back), around Circular Quay and the spectacular MCA terrace cafe, which opens at 10.

I would head down to the harbour and walk along and take your pick. Much cheaper with great views and fresh air. Order a la carte and skip the hotel buffet Bain Marie's.

Good suggestions above.

My pick would be The Fine Food Store http://www.pinterest.com/thefinefoodstre/

The MCA, as mentioned, is great. The Morrison, just near you is also very good for breakfast, or try the MOS Cafe.

CBD can be really dead on the weekends. It's worth going into the ring of residential suburbs that surrounds the CBD for good food.

I would suggest getting a train to Kirribilli (Milsons Point station) where there are heaps of great cafes.

Other options are bus to Surry Hills, Glebe or Potts Point. So many choices at all three of these suburbs.

Strong suggestion Mia.

Bills has to be up there with one of the best in Sydney I think.
