Car Rental

I want to rent a car in Sydney for 10 and drop it off in Melbourne. Can anyone recommend a good local car hire company or should I stick to the international companies such as Avis etc

Stick to the majors, they will have branches in both cities & you will minimize / eliminate drop-off fees.

search on www.vroomvroomvroom.com.au

And always check for damage before leaving with the car (take a photo if necessary).

Any one way rental fees that are charged are included in the quote when you complete the application process, so you don't need to go looking for them.

Your bigger problem is going to be finding a van that will accommodate 10. A quick look at the majors on vroomvroomvroom and some of the majors' websites, shows that rental vans seem to only take 8. You may have to rent two vehicles.
