There are all the usual car rental companies up here eg. hertz, budget, thrify etc.

There is also a local company called Dragonfly car hire....but unfortunately I can't seem to find a number for them. They may be able to give more discounts because they are local??

They will charge you extra if you use the branches of hire companies at the airport so avoid there. If have had good experience with Rent NT, thats 1800RENTNT.

Hi,

I'm Not a local but have visited the region numerous times.

After an exhaustive personal search for Unlimited mileage I found that the NTstandby.com.au a great site for hire cars, to maximise the savings you need to leave it till a week or less before but the prices and deals are worth it. The major car hire places seem to only offer 100km a day which is ridiculous in the NT where everywhere is a long way from anywhere else. Good luck
