September in Darwin - is it still dry or wet?

Thinking of a week in Darwin and surrounds either last week of Sept or even into the first half of October - will the wet season have started by then?

Ooops - just saw a similar question below - that will teach me not to look before I post!

Still dry but starting to get hot, humidity starts to kick in around Oct.

yes- just sticky and quite warm. Its hard on those who are camping and walking in heat of the day is not a good idea. But - still no reason not to come and visit!
