If you can't afford to pay the fine, don't do the crime. No sympathy.

There's no such thing as a "tourist speeding ticket". It's a regular speeding ticket like other speeders get.

Presumably, the police female-woman also have your vehicle registration. Whose car is it?

Perhaps you could cut your holiday short by one month and use the money you save to pay the fine. :)

We would need the whole story catkerry....

If you get caught by speed camera in Australia, there is no follow up by a police officer in person....

Was this on the same day? Immediately after? A month?

It would seem that you were caught by a police officer with a speed detecting device and fined in person?

Is this the case?

In any event, if you have any aspirations to one day return to this country then I would advise you to pay.

$333 sounds a fairly large amount for a speeding fine, so must have been going fast!

You could try writing and pointing this out (also ask if there's a way you can defer the payment?), but I don't like your chances. If you don't pay the fine it may stop you from entering the country again as well.

it quite possibly will stop you from re entering the country if you dont pay the fine.

Also demerit points, are they applicable to your Irish license?
