Brisbane with teenagers

We would like to spend 3 nights in Brisbane en route to the Sunshine Coast, end of May. We hve 4 children, 16, 16, 15 & 11 and would like to stay somewhere to give the older girls a little freedom ie walk to Southbank, catch a ferry to the city etc. Can't afford the luxury I deserve but don't want to stay anywehre too grotty. Any suggestions ?

diana plaza hotel, central westend apartments, abbey apartments, explorers, hotel george williams, parkview apartments, riverside hotel

all good positions (some in city, others near southbank), most reasonably priced

Thanks for your help. Hillcrest looks good for us. Most of the others are too small for a family of 6. Central Westend is booked out due to a convention. Thanks again - looking forward to exploring the city.

Try The Oakes at North Quay, We stayed there over New Years Eve and has just been fully reburbished, We stayed with our family of four and our friend stayed in another with their 3 kids. Stunning views down and up the river, just ask for one with a view We walked to the city and South bank, It was so reasonable in price as they are a francise in Aus, and the buffet breaky was very cheap ($10 a head) I think, has a pool and Gym as well. http://www.theoaksgroup.com.au/
