Mooloolaba to Tangalooma?

In July 2 adults and one teenager need to transfer from the Mooloolaba to the Tangalooma Resort Launch. Any advice on the best way to get there and on the cheapest route?

The Tangalooma Flyer leaves from the Holt St Wharf at Pinkenba in Brisbane. It's a good 1-1hr 30min drive from Mooloolaba. You could catch a bus to Landsborough station and then the train to Central or Roma st stations in Brisbane and from there perhaps a taxi.

Unfortunately I don't know of anyone that does a transfer between these two spots as they are quite a distance from eachother.

thanks. Sun-air coach would charge us 150 dollars to get to Brisbane airport and looking at the yellow cab site looks like about 21 dollars for a taxi to the launch from the airport.

Was wondering if one way car hire (25+ driver obviously) might work out cheaper and will now price the route you suggest.

Is au$150 for all 3 ? If so thats not so bad - given the distance being covered.

With 1 way car hire you wont be able to leave the car at the Ferry launch so will still have a taxi fare - probably from a depot in Fortitude Valley, of approx $20. Probably will work out cheaper though( assuming they dont charge you a one-way fee - sometimes they do if only renting for 1 day).

As discussed the Ferry launch is relatively close to the Airport so if you can get to there it will probably be quickest, and easiest.Maybe not cheapest ?
