1st trip to Australia "Brisbane"

I've resently been trying to plan my 2 week vacation somewhere exciting and different. Ive been looking into Bangkok, Thailand , but resently the topic of Australia came up (more so Brisbane). Great stories and im trying to decide if its wearth changing my destination.

Traveling alone, 29 year old black male, from New York City, military, ive been in Afghanistan for the most of 2013 (zero drinks, women, fun).

In other words, i want to have the time of my life....

Any recommendations would be great: areas to look at, dance clubs and etc for a guy with any wing men.

As someone from Brisbane, I'd go to Sydney if you're after that!

I reckon Thailand might suit your needs better

We just got back from Australia. Brisbane had a very sleek, modern, almost Asian feel, to us.

In your situation, I think Sydney would make more sense as well.
