Has anyone had experience with FNQ Travel Specialist?

Hello,

We are thinking of booking all of our tours with FNQ Travel specialist ( a travel agency). Has anyone had experience with them? How are you please with their tour/accomodation arrangements?

Thank you.

Hello

I've havent but soon going to be booking a reef trip with them as they seem to be the best for an all inclusive package and a 10 minute helicopter ride. What tour you thinking of doing with them?

Hi Aaron,

We are thinking of Cape Tribulation, Atherton/Paronella and Kuranda train/skyrail as they offer discount of 5% when booking multiple tours. I'm beginning to wonder though if it would be better to eliminate the middle man and book directly with companies offerring the tour so I don't have to deal with vouchers; and in the event I have to re-schedule my itineraries I can just contact the company directly.

I read from previous postings here in TA, there is no need to book in advance, except perhaps on most popular tours...such as GBR. We are thinking of going with Wavelenght, just for snorkeling only.

Hi Youngatheart,

Try Port Douglas Tourism or Cairns for all the info you may need www.tourismportdouglas.com.au/HOME.52.0.html

…cairns.com.au/about-cairns/about-cairns.php

There are numerous places in Cairns and Port Douglas to book when you arrive. I'd advise to book when you arrive, but if it is only a very short stay it may be better to do beforehand.

Have a wonderful time.

Be careful...........They are only new kids on the block with lots of money from father in law in Africa. Try old and trusted operators like cairnsvisitorcentre.com

or others who have been around for many years

Hello,

I've been in contact with Andrew of FNQ Travel Specialist for over a month now, in planning our tours to join while visiting Cairns for about a week. I was initially impressed with his promptness in responding to my emails and answering all my questions. As weeks go by, I decided to stay and work with him to book all our tours. He's very patient and very accomodating. He gets out of his way to alleviate all my concerns, esp. about making full payment in advance for the tours.

What can I say, I highly recommend Andrew and his company FNQ Travel. I will give more details after we come back from our trip.

I feel it's better to book once you get here and know what the weather is doing. You need a good day for the reef but most of the others can be anytime. Most accommodation places can book the tours for the same price and they get first hand feedback from their guests at the end of the day so they have excellent info.

I used FNQ Travel for my weekend trip to Cairns. I absolutely would recommend them to anyone. I contacted them only knowing that I wanted to see the GBR. Andrew not only set that up for me but set up a hotel that included breakfast, advised me to see Kuranda on Sunday and then set it up for the bus that picked me up at the hotel on Sunday morning to hold my luggage. After my Kuranda tour (that I just loved) the bus picked me up with my luggage and dropped me off at the airport. It was a flawless weekend and I can't thank them enough.
