Should we pre- book GBR tour

Hi we are going to Cairns mid March 2012 and were wondering if we should pre book our tours or just do it when we get there?

March is the low season and often can be very wet (although usually lovely sunny days in between the wet ones) so I would certainly not pre-book. Just watch the weather forecast when you arrive and pick the best days!

how long will you be there? If more than two or three days then definitely wait until you get there and look at the weather. If your time is limited and especially if peak periods then booking ahead would secure a spot, again though, you are at the whim of the weather and some operators don't refund your fares if the day you choose is inclement.

Hi TW-Yachtgal

we will have 4 full days in Cairns so I guess we will do as suggested and check weather when we get there

Thanks Scoobie
