Pre-booking tickets for attractions in Cairns

Can you please let me know whether it is best to pre-book tickets (online)for things to do in Cairns eg Hartley's crocodile farm, reef tours, skyrail etc, is it better for convenience? cheaper? thanks

No difference in price. When your here you can talk and find out what trips are best. Only benefit is a secured spot if sold out, but most likely not sold out. Also by being flexible you can adjust your trip to suit the weather.

This depends little on the time of year you intend to visit the Cairns region....

During winter holiday periods it is a good idea to book a little ahead but any other time of year you will be fine booking reef trips and tours the night before travel.

Places like Hartley's are simply "pay at the door"

One way to save on tours, ect. is to do your research as to what interests you then contact the companies directly and ask them for a "direct booking discount". The booking agents take 20~30% commission when they make your booking. So even if a company only offers you a 10% discount they are still getting more then they would if you book through an agent.
