Restaurants in Cairns Locals Help !


Any suggestions for greaat places to eat there used to be GR8 seafood smorgasboards 25 years ago with prawns the size of garden hoses - but not to sure how and whats up there now

4 of us travelling 2 teen boys Myself and my dad !! (84years loves prawns)

you won't see them that big in a buffet (or smorgasbord), but there are still a few seafood buffet's around. I know Charl;es (Acacia Court hotel) still do one

all you can eat prawns and oysters at charlies, one of my better Cairns memories - the rest of the buffet's pretty crap though!

As you said 25 years ago! The best is at Yorky's Knob Yacht Club on a Saturday it's not necessarily a buffet but it's local, good value seafood and not frozen!

If you are in the CBD try Coco's at the Pullman International.


Charlies is still open for seafood as well, as others have stated.
