Maori Wrasse Fish

Hi

I would like to go snorkelling to see a Maori Wrasse fish in September. Is there a particular company I need to go with?

Thanks

Hi there

In my experience there are usually quite a few of them around. You might like to go with a snorkel/dive operator from Port Douglas as they often go to 3 reef sites per day when most of the Cairns ones will only go to 2. That will maximise your chances of seeing one.

Haba in particular state on their website that they live at two of the three sites that they visit:

Wavelength and Poseidon each have a big maori wrasse on their payrolls.
